Contemporary brown calf bindings, partly worn and rubbed, richly gilt spines in seven compartments and red title labels, speckled edges. Titles with some soiling, vol. I with minor spot and some dampstaining to margin, old owner's note on both titles. Some occasional foxing, tear to page 145-46 (c. 4 cms) in vol I, some brown stains in lower margin on page 316-17 in vol II. Owner's monogram booklabel L. B. C. on inside of cover. 2 volumes.
