Title within a wide figurative woodcut border, text within ornamental and figurative woodcut border, woodcut illustrations in the text Le Petit-Bernard.
Modern vellum binding (20th c., Nordiska Bokhandeln, according to note by Olof Degerstedt.). Title with handwritten note "Capuccinorum Romae" and two black figurative stamps to the margins, with minor tear to outer margin due to wormhole. About 10 leaves with minor worming, or some tears to margin, last 3 leaves dampstained to lower margin. Pencil notes on the endpapers. Bookplate of Nils Nordqvist.

First Spanish edition. The original edition of Alciatus Emblemata was published in 1531. The translation to this edition by Bernardino Daza Pinciano.
