A Pair of Famille Rose Vessels and Covers, enamelled in gilt and bright colours with roundels of confronting phoenix and dragons on a ground of fruiting gourd branches, the cover with a gilt lion finial, six character Guangxu mark and of the period (1875-1908), height c. 17 cm; wear, nicks at the base
PROVENANCE: These yellow-ground porcelain objects where purchased in China in 1956, by a Swedish businessman who was conducting a business transaction with the Chinese government at the time.
